Hawaiian Immigration background articles

I found a really neat site about Portuguese Immigration to Hawaii that has a lot of information about what life must have been like (and what the voyage was like) for everyone, including the Spanish:

Child Workers on Hawaiian Plantations

Description of the voyage of the Heliopolis (on which we think the Castro's and Vigallon's (and Sanchez, perhaps?) arrived)

Some more can be found about the Heliopolis and the Spaniards in general in the description of the voyage of the SS Kumeric

Female Workers on Hawaii's Sugar Plantations

Jobs on a Hawaiian Sugar Plantation

The Bango Number System

Male Workers on Hawaiian Sugar Plantations

Register of Ewa Plantation

Sugar Plantation Work Day and Wages

Example of a Sugar Plantation Contract (original in Portuguese)

Spanish families sailed into new lives
